Description

New Horizons is quickly approaching Pluto. On, or around July 14 we will witness the first ever high resolution view of this dwarf planet. I used one of the recent pictures that NASA released as reference for this painting. When New Horizons reaches Pluto this is the side that it will be facing, and the side that we will get the best pictures of. Since New Horizons is moving so fast (to speed up the mission and keep costs down) it only has once chance to receive data. Here's hoping everything goes 100%.
